The creation of a logo sculpture or sign sculpture has many steps. After receiving your artwork or accepting our design, we then set your logo up in the computer program and scale to the size requested. There is a lot of cleanup to do after image conversion to make sure your logo is cut to perfection. Custom designs we create are usually hand cut except for lettering. Remember, when letters are going to be overlays, they must have a width of 1/4” or will not work so the fatter the font the better!
After all the shapes and lettering are cut, Steve grinds and sands all edges to remove all rough cuts and sharpness. He then lines everything up to scale and continues to the welding process. After all the dimensions have been calculated and all has been assembled he finishes up the grinding process to make certain all is clean.
Next, he has to take it all apart for the cleaning and painting process (which is my job (Beverlee)). I retrieve all the parts and give them many coats of primer and then on to the final colors selected.
After all paints have had time to dry, Steve will reassemble the sculpture.
Then all is left is for us to pack it and ship it!
